ek9_git_init
Reports branch and gitignoreCreated (a .gitignore for the generated .ek9/ directory is scaffolded when absent); refuses when already a repository.
When to use it
'Put this project under git' - one call, no arguments; the only ek9_git_* tool valid outside a repository (the answer to not-a-repository). The optional branch names the initial branch, default main.
When not to use it
- a project already under git - use
ek9_git_status. - the first commit after init - use
ek9_git_addthenek9_git_commit. - cloning an existing remote - not supported (there is no clone tool).
Details
written:true with branch, gitignoreCreated (an existing .gitignore is never clobbered) and a nextStep for the first commit. The only parameter is the optional initial branch (default main).
